LSU Tigers Win 2020 National Championship

The LSU Tigers are the 2020 NCAA National Champions after defeating the Clemson Tigers by a score of 42-25. Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow dominated Clemson’s defense, throwing for 463 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran in for a touchdown, giving him six on the night.

Ja’Marr Chase and Thaddeus Moss each caught two touchdowns, and Terrace Marshall Jr. snagged a 24-yard score to put LSU up by three possessions with 12:08 to go in the game.

LSU finishes the season with a perfect 15-0 record. It is the school’s first national championship since 2007.

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence did not complete a touchdown pass and threw for just 234 yards. He did have a rushing touchdown, as did Travis Etienne and Tee Higgins.
