Ric Flair will join a roster of other sports figures for a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago for Herschel Walker.
Walker, the retired football star, is seeking the Republican nomination in the Georgia 2022 Senate contest against Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock. Former President Trump will headline the event.
Flair, a wrestling legend, was listed as a member of Walker’s “honorary host committee” in an invitation for the event which circulated on Twitter.
The $1,000-a-head minimum event also listed on the invitation Doug Flutie, a quarterback who once played with Walker on the New Jersey Generals, and Former New York Mets and Atlanta Braves pitcher Tom Glavine.
A $25,000 donation to the Dec. 1 fundraiser would earn a dinner and private reception with Walker and Trump.
Trump has rallied enthusiastically to Walker’s candidacy. “Herschel Walker is a friend, a patriot, and an outstanding American.”
