Moschino Fashion Show on a Subway Car

Everyone’s dreaded words during morning rush-hour became the centerpiece of the Moschino Fall 2020 collection show, held on the subway cars Monday at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn.

As models walked the runway before a front row — including Kacey Musgraves and Amanda Lepore — sitting in subway seats, dancers also came out busting moves, making for an authentic MTA experience — minus all the delays, of course.

Hot off the successful H&M collaboration, designer Jeremy Scott continued his streak of urban-cool style with giant accessories and chunky chain jewelry. Hoodies aplenty were paired with everything from sweatpants to skirts to chinos matched with Timberland-style work boots. There were also models dressed in their best tweed suit sets, which illustrated the wide breadth of New Yorkers who ride the subway.

“New York is the city that never sleeps,’” Scott writes in his show notes. “With that in mind, I wanted to offer a little bit of everything. A round-the-clock set of ensembles for city girls and guys who aren’t afraid to go from the ballroom to the back room, then watch the sun come up over the East River.”

He adds: “There’s nowhere else in the world where you get that kind of energy and magic!”
